Young Professionals Programme Open for Bahrain and GCC Countries

The United Nations is launching a program called Young Professionals aimed at youth who are ready to launch a professional career as an international civil servant.

The Young Professionals Programme (YPP) provides professionals with a platform to launch their careers at the United Nations through an annual entrance examination. It is held worldwide and this year Bahrain and the GCC countries are included in the list of participating countries.

To be eligible for the program, participants need to:

  • Hold the nationality of the participating country
  • Hold at least a first-level university degree relevant to the exam subject the candidate is applying for
  • Is 32 years of age or younger in the year of the examination
  • Is fluent in either English or French

The 2017 YPP examination is offered in the following job categories:

  • Political, Peace and Humanitarian (POLNET)
  • Management and Administration (MAGNET)
  • Public Information and Conference Management (INFONET)

The deadline for the application is 22nd August 2017, and needs to be submitted online.
