ViatorAero Eyeing the Middle East Skies

The UK-based FliteTrak, an innovative company which takes smart technologies to the skies, is eyeing the multi-billion dollar aerospace market in the Middle East. It will show its smart airline seating system ViatorAero during the Dubai Airshow in November.

Based on the advanced iblox technology, ViatorAero uses small wireless sensors with live data sent to the cabin crew’s tablets showing individual seats and cabin activity. The information gathered provides valuable information to improve maintenance turnaround. It can also be used for further analysis by the air carriers.

According to Trevor Lea, the joint managing director of FliteTrak, ViatorAero is the first working technology for monitoring the seats for temperature, passenger movement, seatbelt closures, etc. It can also predict technical issues as well as deadlines for maintenance and repair. In case of broken equipment, the information can be quickly sent to the maintenance team for a rapid replacement.

Mr. Lea commented:

Attendance at the airshow will allow us to showcase the innovative capabilities of ViatorAero and other new products to potential clients and business partners. We’re looking forward to a successful airshow and placing FliteTrak on the map in the Middle East.
