Bahrain based e-Sports organizer Atyaf e-Sports takes part in Play Expo (Playx4), an annual gaming exhibition in Korea.
Atyaf e-Sports is a subsidiary of the technology investment group, T.I.G. Holdings, and it aims to be a leading e-Sports provider not only in Bahrain but in the MENA region as well. Additionally, Atyaf e-Sports plans on identifying, developing and coaching regional talents to introduce them to the global e-Sports scene.
Play Expo is held every year where companies from all around the world visit to showcase their games. Gamers also attend to compete in tournaments and connect with new people. This year the annual expo was celebrating its 10th anniversary, where more than 190 game developers, including startups and SMEs, and 110 investors and publishers from 15 European and Middle-Eastern countries attended.
But the fun doesn’t end here. Atyaf e-Sports was invited as a representative of the Arab gaming industry in the region to build a Bahraini-Korean relation that’s going to create new opportunities for both countries in the gaming industry.
Atayf e-Sports also signed a MoU with Monorama Co. Ltd, a leading content developer, and marketing agency for the gaming industry. The partnership will boost exchanges between the two countries and will expose local talents to the world, in addition to creating job opportunities and increase Bahrain’s gaming market share.
Noof Abdulla – Marketing Manager of Atyaf e-Sport spoke about her amazing experience in Korea saying: “We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. We were particularly impressed by the great infrastructures and facilities creatives and developers enjoy there. We really look forward to bring more Korean games and culture to the Middle East.”
Noof also believes that Bahrain indeed has the potential to become the next e-Sports hub and that’s because of the support it provides to its local talents and the number of gamers it attracts from Bahrain and the MENA region.
