Under the patronage of Telecommunications and Transportation Minister Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed, the Social Media Club (SMC) organizes the third edition of the annual social media forum from January, 28th to January, 29th.
The third theme of the forum SMMF-2015 is planned under the slogan of “Social media and Entrepreneurship” in partnership with E-Government as a strategic partner and Zain telecommunication company.
Series of workshops, papers and lectures been designed and planned in purpose to encourage young entrepreneurs, universities students and other examples of the society to use the social media and highlighting the aim of it and the important part it plays in the business and societies, by local, regional and international media experts and speakers in the 3rd SMMF-2015.
The forum is also aim to showcase and present several experiences via the social media channels, in additional to successful youngster’s stories in purpose to increase and motivate the number of the youth experiences in the social media field.
In this occasion, the minister ensured the importance of the symposium which is a part of the government led efforts to keep abreast of shifting business trends, motivate youngsters to seize emerging opportunities.
“Internet and social media channels have provided the possibility for individuals and companies to spur growth without pumping in massive investments”, Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed, the minister pointed out.
The International Social Media Club (SMC) President and the social media expert Mr. Ali Sabkar also stressed the importance of the upcoming symposium, describing Bahrain as the home social media in the Middle East.
