Thinksmart, a leading ICT training service provider, has launched the new Blockchain Center of Excellence in Bahrain, a major initiative that will cover blockchain training, consultancy, research and events.
As the first activity under this center, ThinkSmart recently organized its inaugural training program “Certified Blockchain Expert” at the Wyndham Grand Hotel for more than 25 delegates from Bahrain’s key organizations.
Supported by Tamkeen, The program is an ideal start for anyone who wants to gain a thorough understanding of blockchain concept, cryptocurrency, data mining, data security, and smart contracts, said a statement from the organization.
The successful completion of training provided delegates with certification from the International Organization for Blockchain Research “The Blockchain Council”.
Senior officials from large organizations from Bahrain – Garmco, The Benefit Company, AlNadeem, Information eGovernment and Authority, Ministry of Information Affairs, Bahrain Polytechnic and others took part in this training which was run for three full days.
One of the attendees, Khalid Jalal, senior group ICT Manager of Garmco, said: “I attended the training to understand what the blockchain is and how it is applied. Since it is being conducted from a professional body, it is always good to know how the professional body is covering the level of blockchain step by step.”
Ahmed AlHujairy, group chief executive officer of ThinkSmart, said: “I am proud to announce the successful launch of this center and with blockchain technology gaining good momentum in the region and especially in Bahrain, we have already incorporated trainings and awareness sessions around this subject.”
