Google graduates the first Middle Eastern startup Mintrics from its Launchpad Accelerator

Mintrics, Cairo-based video analytics platform just graduated from Google Launchpad Accelerator this month, which makes it the first graduate of the program in the MENA region – isnt’t that awesome?!

The cohort under the program consisted of 11 startups who all went through an intensive 3-months program in Lagos, Nigeria. During their training, the startups received some expert advice and coaching from 48 mentors from all around the globe, including Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the United States. Not only that, but all startups received $110,000 in equity-free funding from Google!

But what’s so special about Mintrics? The Egyptian startup is a social video intelligence platform, launched in 2016, to enable brands, agencies, and content publishers understand how their audience is interacting with their videos. How does it do that? Well, Mintrics analyzes the videos posted on the different social media platforms, and based on that produces metrics and charts explaining to the user the performance of that content. In addition, Mintrics helps to compare the videos, and also group them together to know their overall performance.

The startup also provides users with some insights, such as the top-performing and low-performing metrics. This, in turn, allows users to drive better ROI from their video content.

It’s also worth mentioning that last year Mintrics raised seed funding from Numu Capital.
