If you were wondering when in the world are we going to witness flying cars, well you don’t need to wait much longer because Dubai has successfully overseen a trial for its autonomous aerial vehicle (AAV).
Dubai-based flying taxi firm Vimana Global has indeed confirmed that pilotless flying cars – or taxis are in the works. Vimana is currently working closely with authorities in Dubai to oversee and integrating blockchain aerospace platform into their AAV. “We keep Dubai on top of the list because the emirate has broken the ice in smart urban mobility. The government here is taking the mobility to next stage from 2D mobility to 3D mobility,” Evgeni Borisov, CEO of Vimana said.
The flying taxi developed by German aircraft manufacturer Volocopter can transport people in pilotless flights. Excited enough? You don’t need to wait much longer because the pilotless taxi is set to take the skies sometime in 2020.
