Batelco’s long-term efforts and commitment to support Bahraini youth have been recognized during the closing ceremony of the Youth City 2030 event at Al Muharraq Model Youth Center. The telecom company was an exclusive partner of the event under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee. Tamkeen was also among the strategic partners of the event.
The annual initiative focuses on developing key capabilities among Bahraini’s youth, including leadership, media information technologies, arts, sports, sciences, and languages. This year’s edition of Youth City 2030 attracted over 3,000 young people, confirmed the organizers.
His Excellency Mr. Al-Jowder expressed his gratitude to Batelco for its frequent involvement in similar initiatives and presented it an biz. It was received by Batelco’s Senior Manager Consumer Segments Maha Abdulrahman. On an annual basis, the telecom company has been supporting numerous activities for young people as a part of its corporate social responsibility program.
Earlier this year, Batelco hosted the Animania Gaming Tournament. Thousands of young Bahraini people attended the initiative to enjoy Cosplay competitions and gaming tournaments. At that time, Eng Muna Al Hashemi, Batelco Bahrain CEO said that the company has always been active in supporting youth events hosted in the Kingdom and bringing all generations together.
