ArabNet Kuwait Launches for a Second Time

Kuwait welcomes the ArabNet conference for the second time in a row from 17 to 18 October. The two-day event called Digitalize Kuwait will focus on the latest trends and opportunities for the local startup ecosystem.

In addition to that, the conference will also feature a Tech Fair with a showroom area where established digital companies and young entrepreneurs can meet up. The program also includes keynote speeches and panels on digital media issues, the state of e-banking and e-commerce in Kuwait, and more. Last but not at least, Digitalize Kuwait will also touch upon hot topics such as fintech, e-commerce and digital payments.

Furthermore, there will be two competitions – the Ideathon and the Startup Battle. Ideathon is meant for innovative startups that have not yet been established. Startups with up to two years of experience can compete in the Startup Battle. The deadline for both is September 15.

The second edition of the ArabNet Kuwait comes in times when the startup community in the country has experienced many changes. New investment funds have been launched, and several accelerator programs have started to guarantee the success of starting a business. The government efforts in this regard has not remained unnoticed. On that note, business leaders and venture capitalists from the GCC region and abroad will come to the conference to share more best practices and talk about the future.
