We know how difficult it is to stay healthy, go to the gym, and avoid over-eating. It requires time, dedication, and yes, the hardest part, perseverance – unfortunately, not everyone has those three core elements. But what if we tell you, that there’s a new emerging startup that helps you and encourages you to be fit without going to the gym and signing up to something that’s a long-term commitment?
This is what UAE based FittPass is doing. Founded by Faisel Bashir and co-founded by Heba El Daleel, this startup creates a pay-as-you play felxible model, which provides users with short-term passes for a variety of healthy and fitness activities. Technically speaking, you don’t have to go through the rigid system of gym memerbship packages, and sign up for more than a month or so. With FittPass, you can search, compare, review and even buy passes and memberships online if you want to host a fitness facilities in the UAE.
“It is normal [for fitness centers] to offer walk-ins a free trial, but usually fitness facilities do not continuously offer day passes to users with no limits. With FittPass, users can go to the same location or to a different location as many times as they wish, [and] are in control, and have the choice,” said Bashier to Entreprenuer Middle East. He also commented on the fact that Google search fails to provide people with accurate data about prices and fitness facilities.
So far, Fittpass has a user base of more than 15,000 subscribers. The startup’s revenue mainly comes through the commission from the passes/memberships sold online. The startup offers six pass types: one-day, fiveday, 30-day etc. Aside from gyms, it also includes health clubs, pools, group exercises and more.
