“The GCC racing scene is currently at the top of the global food chain,” said Eyad Ebrahim, a senior member of the Bahrain Motor Federation and manager of both Trackfight and Dragfight.
“Fight nights came about when myself and a group of motor racing enthusiasts decided to organise a private time attack event for ourselves. That event attracted attention and I decided to open it up to the public. That was the birth of Trackfight. All members and participants register prior to the events on our website trackfight.com.”
“I am moved by my passion for motorsport and my duty as a member of the motor racing society to make our roads safer,” he explained. “I took the challenge to fight street racing and bring it to where racing belongs, the track. Several meetings later and a few cheques, Dragfight was born.”
For those who wish to make a living out of their passion, Eyad had some wise words to say.
“Get involved in the field you are passionate about, innovate and solve problems and most importantly, listen to stakeholders. It may not be easy, but with challenges comes rewards.”
