In a region heavily focused on consuming rather than producing products, the service industry can thrive under what technology startups can offer.  Being able to offer “convenience” through apps is the next big thing. Need something picked up and delivered somewhere? Need some food delivered? Need some paperwork done? It’ll all happen on your phone.

“A recent report from Accenture indicated that digital entrepreneurs and tech startups have the potential to contribute significantly to the UAE’s economy. Figures from the consultancy show that digital transformation, or optimising the use of digital skills and technologies, can add nearly $14 billion (AED 51.4 billion) to the country’s GDP.”
