STEP Group, the company that hosts the largest tech festival in the Middle East STEP Conference, has announced its expansion to Saudi, the co-founder, and CEO of STEP Ray Dargham announced on Thursday at the STEP Conference.
The conference’s first Saudi edition will be taking place in Riyadh next month in March. Nizar Fakih, co-founder of the Step Conference, in a joint interview with Zawya and Accelerate SME said: “This is the first time that we launch in Saudi, it is going to be in Riyadh on March 25”. He adds that the one-day event will be held at Seven Moons.
When asked about why they’re launching in Saudi, Fakih stated that they believe it’s the right time in Saudi. “There is a lot of focus from the government on Vision 2030, digital transformation and we have been in contact with a lot of partners there over the past year,” he said.
According to him, they aim to attract 1,500 attendees in the Saudi event.
