Looking for a new read to stimulate your senses and motivate you? Look no further, because the book Those Who Inspire Bahrain will be your new cup of tea.
Founded by Marlene Plomik & Delphine Barets, Those Who Inspire is a book collection that features stories of some of the best local role models and mentors to encourage millennials to pursue their dreams.
This year, the founders are launching “Those Who Inspire” in Bahrain and it’s going to contain 51 inspirational Bahrainis from every corner of the island. Not only that, but the book is going to highlight their experiences, passion, advice and wisdom.
Several inspirational Bahrainis have been featured and mentioned in the book, in which the Bahraini youth will be able to discover and benefit from their stories. Among those portrayed are: Shaikha Al Shaiba, Paratriathlete; Dr. Mubarak Najem, Composer & Conductor of the National Band of Bahrain; and Omar Farooq, Filmmaker & YouTuber.
Co-founder Delphine Barets believes that inspiring people can have an impact on youth. “We know from experience that the right kind of inspiration can change the course of a young person’s life. That’s what inspiration is all about, and we are honoured to facilitate that in any way we can,” says Co-founder.
If you’re ever looking for a mentor, there’s no need to worry because all of the inspiring people mentioned in the book have agreed to be mentors – if contacted. They may also be invited to talk at universities and educational institutions around Bahrain.
“I just spent around eight months in Bahrain working on Those Who Inspire Bahrain, and I am amazed at how many inspiring Bahrainis I met and how Bahrainis are dedicated to empower their youth,” says Emilia Mirea, Co-Publisher of Those Who Inspire Bahrain.
Those Who Inspire Bahrain is set to be released in October 2018 during the Manama Entrepreneurship Week 2018 (MEW 4th Edition) and in collaboration with the Capital Governorate, under the patronage of HE Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa. The launch will be celebrated with a grand evening where the book Those Who Inspire Bahrain will be unveiled for the first time. As a guest of honour, Quin Thong, one of the Inspiring People from the book Those Who Inspire Hong Kong will also be coming to the book launch in Bahrain.
Young Bahrainis will be able to get their hands on the book via donations from companies or institutions that are partners – such as Tamkeen – with Those Who Inspire. The more partners mean more books for the youth and more donations to students. The book will also be available for FREE to young students at public educational institutions.
