Here are the eleven startups that made it to Google’s second class of Launchpad Accelerator Africa

Eleven startups are set to join Google for the second class of Launchpad Accelerator Africa. The eleven startups were selected from a pool of more than 250 applicants.

The finalists will each receive a three week all-expense paid trip to train at Launchpad Accelerator Africa in Johannesburg and Lagos, when an endless supply and access to Google engineers, mentors, and resources. It doesn’t stop there; the finalists will also receive three months of support from Google, Cloud and Firebase Credits.

Meet the finalists:

  • AppZone: Builds Software as a Service (SaaS) FinTech software for digital banks
  • Chalkboard Education: Enables educational institutes to make their curricula available on mobile devices.
  • Cloud9xp: One market and booking service.
  • EzyAgric: An on-demand platform that provides inclusive and data-driven access for financing, production and marketing services for farmers and agribusinesses.
  • Formplus: Gives companies the power to collect online and offline data through the use of customizable digital forms.
  • Medsaf: Curated medicated marketplace.
  • Mintrics: Social video intelligence platform
  • PayGo Energy: Smart meter and connected software.
  • Pineapple: Machine learning technology allowing users to ensure individual items using just a mobile app.
  • Preeva: Platform to connect students with educators.
  • Thank U Cash: Online rewards program.

The eleven finalists hail from six countries: Two from South Africa and Kenya; one from Ghana, Uganda, and Egypt; and four from Nigeria.
