Y Combinator to give away $10,000 to 100 promising startups, could you be one of them?

Y Combinator’s Startup School is back and better than ever. It’s going to host a free 10-week online course designed to assist and help out entrepreneurs that are facing challenges.

But that’s not the best part yet. For the first time, Y Combinator will be giving $10,000 in equity-free funding to 100 of the most promising startups that join and complete the course. In addition, participating startups will receive a video interview with a YC partner for advice or aid in applying to future YC batches.

Furthermore, Stripe will be giving startups discount payment processing, and also an invitation to Stripe Atlas to open a company bank account.

Oh, and there is more awesome stuff offered. Participating startups will receive over $50,000 in credits to a variety of other services, Digital Ocean, Amazon Web Services, and Clerky.

Entrepreneurs taking part in the YC Startup School can either join the Startup School community and meet with an advisor on a weekly basis or follow the course by watching the lectures and materials. Both choices are for free.

The lectures would be recorded live in Moutain View, California at Y Combinator’s headquarters and then will be made available online. Curious about the speakers? There’s going to be the YC co-founder Paul Graham, YC Partners like President Same Altman and CEO Michael Seibel, and notable founders from the startup community.

Geoff Ralston, a Partner at Y Combinator, announced on his blog: “Our goal is to help everyone, regardless of who or where they are, start their startup. The materials from this year’s Startup School, like those from previous years, will remain online after the course finishes as a permanent resource for all startup founders.”

The course will kick off on August 27. Hurry up and apply NOW before August 13.
