500 Startups is working together with KAFO to support entrepreneurs in Kuwait, here’s how

500 Startups and KAFO (Kuwait’s Achievers for Future Opportunities) just announced a collaboration, where they will be working together on a number of networking opportunities to connect the youth of Kuwait with experts from Silicon Valley, enabling them to learn from their experience in the field of startups.

KAFO is an initiative by the Amiri Diwan, which was founded to fulfill High Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s vision to create a platform that showcases Kuwait’s talents as one of the recommendations from the National Youth Project. This will enable innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs to search, connect and collaborate with successful entrepreneurs.

Dr. Youssef Al-Ibraheem, an advisor in the Amiri Diwan, said in a press release: “Our main objective is to help people find achievers in different fields, to exchange knowledge and allow them to work together.”

He states that the platform is currently in its second iteration and that the new version will be released in October of this year. “We are busy connecting people offline, as well, and using other resources to connect great minds. Having 500 Startups in Kuwait is a great opportunity for tech startups, in particular, and we are planning a few activities together,” Dr. Youssef adds.

Hassan Haider, Partner at 500 Startups, also expressed his excitement on the new collaboration stating that they’re looking forward to “establishing some strong ties to empower startups that potential to grow in the global market.”
