Zain Bahrain, a leading telecommunications provider in the Kingdom, was recognized for its outstanding efforts in developing talent at the annual Ministry of Labour and Social Development Awards. The Human Resources Development and Training Award was presented by HE the Minister of Labour and Social Development Jameel Bin Mohammed Ali Hamaidan to Zain Bahrain Human Resources Director, Dana Bukhammas, at the event, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, at the Gulf Hotel’s Gulf Convention Center. Zain Bahrain Corporate Events Manager, Ghazi Faisal Radhi was also honored for his hard work and dedication, receiving the Diligent Employee Award. Mr. Radhi has been employed by Zain Bahrain for more than 10 years, holding the position of Corporate Communication Specialist for six years before being promoted to his current role.
Commenting on the achievements, Ms. Bukhammas said: “We are happy to be recognized for our excellent training and development programs, which have made Zain Bahrain an employer of choice in the country. Zain Bahrain is a people-centric organization which considers its employees to be its greatest asset. This investment in our team has helped us build a workforce that we are immensely proud of.”

The Diligent Employee Award aims to encourage employees to excel and set an example for their colleagues by recognizing their prolonged commitment, dedication, and hard work.
In 2017 Zain Bahrain provided 130 instructor-led training sessions to 210 staff for a total of 13,311 hours, as well as 588 hours of e-Learning training and 218 certificates of completion and coaching for 80 percent of its employees from all levels. In addition, Zain Bahrain has provided custom training to the community with specific projects for Bahrain Bayan School and British School of Bahrain students, and to the General Directorate of Traffic.
