Great news to high schools in Bahrain – students are going to love this Tamkeen program

Labour Fund Tamkeen in collaboration with the Ministry of Education just launched its 11th edition of its program “A9eel” for the school year 2017-2018, with the participation of all public high schools in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

“A9eel” aims to spread the spirit and culture of entrepreneurship amongst youth, which is done through various school activities and workshops.

The “A9eel” program includes a number of activities embedded within the school’s curriculum to promote work ethics throughout the entire school year. The program also includes a competition among all participating schools that aims to reinforce and encourage vocational training through school activities.

Tamkeen’s Chief Executive, Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, stressed the importance of focusing on youth and providing them with the ultimate support and resources needed for them to enhance their career and academic skills.

More than 830 students have participated in the program. In addition, around 50 teachers are participating to help out in coordinating and supervising the program.

Tamkeen has also launched a program to train teachers as part of its preparations for the A9eel program.
