Mustafa Koita moved to Dubai more than a decade ago to start his own business. He observed the local eating habits and noticed the lack of hormone-free milk, produced by grass-fed, happy cows. That is how the idea of his Koita milk brand was born.
The entrepreneur traveled the world to gain expertise. He visited more than 40 farms in Europe, the USA, Australia, and the Middle East to check in person how they treated the cows, and to analyze the impact of the farm operations on the environment. Koita did not stop traveling until he got answers to all his questions and found the most delicious milk – in Italy.
Since 2013, the organic Koita milk is available in major supermarkets, in specialized organic stores, at schools, and playgrounds. Koita started with the innovations from the very beginning. He offered a 200ml milk carton with a twist cap. Mothers were fascinated because it was lunchbox friendly and it also removed the need for straws.
Now, the company decided to revive an old tradition – the milkman coming to your door each morning with a bottle of fresh milk. The milk delivery service will start first in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Following the trend for eating healthy and organic, Koita also included a wide range of such products in its portfolio. It now offers non-GMO soy milk for instance. Soon it will also offer almond milk for people who avoid dairy products. Koita’s organic milk contains no artificial hormones or antibiotics. It does contain halal-certified vitamin A and D3, which is vital for this part of the world because many locals suffer from a vitamin D deficiency.
“If you are looking to add some goodness to your diet, milk is a good place to start”, Mustafa suggested.
