The first edition of AIM Startup, organised in conjunction with the seventh edition of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) in Dubai has announced the top three winners of the Startup Pitch Competition.
The top three winners were awarded the prizes by Juma Al Kait, assistant undersecretary, foreign trade affairs at UAE Ministry of Economy and Dawood Al Shezawi, CEO of AIM’s organising committee.
First place went to Blitab Technology of Vienna Austria where they received a cash prize of $15,000. Kristina Tsvetanova, co-founder and CEO of Blitab mentioned that their company is the world’s first tactile tablet for the blind and partially sighted people. “We’re thrilled by the opportunity that the event gave us to present our project. This win is a milestone for us and it will help us move to the next level to achieve our set goals,” she said.
